The Town Star Insider: The Refinery Production Chain — Learn Town Star
Welcome to the Town Insider. Here we share some exclusive information regarding the How’s and Why things happen inside of Town Star. We recently saw a competition heat up in the recent weeks of May MayHEM Madness with the META being shifted away from the Vanilla (Blue Steel being the highest points value) build to a more balanced and unique star points value for crafts.
Jet Fuel ⛽️ for the Win
The usage of Jet Fuel came to light when one of the top contenders in the MayHEM Madness last year, Iron Shark, decided to use it in his build. It was a risky move as it is an expensive fuel to produce but it paid off and he took first place. After doing some research, we found out that Jet Fuel can be used in many different ways: to power vehicles, to fuel aircraft, and even the unknown right now*.
While we don’t recommend using Jet Fuel in your town unless you are a top-level player, it is interesting to see the different ways that players are using it. We will continue to bring you exclusive information on the Refinery.
With Jet Fuel being ramped up to 350 stars (up from 27 normally) this was a unique way that we could test Jet Fuel ⛽️ and how players make builds around it.
With some phenomenal builds and stats obtained — we were seeing top players producing upwards of:
- 40 Jet Fuel Per Minute
- 2400 Jet Fuel Per Hour
- 120 Petroleum Per Minute
- 7200 Petroleum Per Hour
- 16 Crude Oil Per Minute
- 960 Crude Oil Per Hour
That is some serious production! But with these numbers also came some pretty hefty fuel usage. We’re talking about:
- 3600 Jet Fuel crafted per minute
- 21600 Jet Fuel traded per hour
And that is just at the top level! We can only imagine how much fuel is being used by all of the players in Town Star.
While some of these metrics as for production don’t add up, it’s most likely the usage of NFTs that provided passive oil that increased production rates for the higher scoring players.
This type of data provides amazing insights to how we’ll utilize and release the Petro Line of NFTs: Crude Oil Storage, Petroleum Storage and Gasoline Storage within certain rarities.
NFT Gasoline Storage — This unique silo is only for storing gasoline, which varies in quantity depending on the structure’s rarity. Storage containers of different rarities can be found in Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary varieties.
NFT Oil Storage — This unique silo is only for storing crude oil, which varies in quantity depending on the structure’s rarity. Storage containers of different rarities can be found in Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary varieties.
NFT Petroleum Storage — This unique silo is only for storing petroleum, which varies in quantity depending on the structure’s rarity. Storage containers of different rarities can be found in Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary varieties.
The moral of the story is: if you want to be a top-level player in Town Star, you’re going to need to learn how to produce a lot of Jet Fuel ⛽️ for some upcoming competitions.
